About the Owner & Founder

Jayla Nicole has had a passion for design and styling since childhood, often dressing herself in her grandmother’s heels and accessories and planning outfits each night with the belief that a great outfit sets the tone for a great day. Known in high school for her bold, trend-forward looks with a personal twist, she later discovered her interest in entrepreneurship during her junior year, where she developed a business plan and raised $1,000 with support from mentors and peers to launch True Piscean Wear (TPW) in the Denver area. The brand began with six custom athleisure designs before expanding into wholesale pieces and officially launching in November 2018, later shifting in 2019 to focus on seasonal lingerie and swimwear campaigns.

In 2025, TPW introduced custom loungewear designed for individual personalization, reflecting its goal of transitioning fully into slow fashion, with more to come in the future.
